What is Shopify POS?

Shopify POS is a unique omnichannel system that truly understands and accommodates retailers selling both online and in-person. Using the free Shopify App, you can process online and in-person transactions and arrange for delivery or curbside pickup. If you don’t use the free app, you can use your own hardware, or Shopify has hardware available for an extra cost.

Shopify POS has four plans ranging in price from $5 to $399 per month, depending on if you’re a casual seller or a huge retail conglomerate. Like most payment processing systems, it does charge a credit card fee.

Is Shopify POS legit?

Since then, it has grown to help millions of businesses get started, run, and grow worldwide. Whether you are selling online, in a retail store, or on the go, Shopify is making commerce easier, more accessible, and better for everyone.

Users of Shopify POS are less than impressed with the customer service. Many reviewers express annoyance over unresolved issues, lack of communication, and trouble getting a representative on the phone.

Shopify POS scores high with reviewers who say it offers a wealth of features that make running your business easier. Everything from managing products to monitoring sales is easy to navigate and keep tabs on. Shopify reviews further suggest that the software is highly intuitive, the provided marketing tools make a big difference, and the ability to link to social media is a great perk.

  • Ease of Setup – users have no complaints about getting Shopify POS set up and integrated with other programs.
  • Ease of Use – reviewers say Shopify POS is a clean, straightforward interface laid out well and easy to navigate.
  • Features – users appreciate the sheer amount of features offered but most especially appreciate the inventory management and marketing tools provided.
  • Quality of Support – customer support is where things get dicey with Shopify. Some users say customer service is good, while others say it’s hard to get in touch with an actual person and that many issues go unresolved.
  • Value for Money – Shopify POS reviewers say that the well-done features make it easy to run a business and that the price is competitive for what you get. However, there are a few gripes about hidden fees to look out for.
